The work
Cities, landscapes,
and a reason to stop.
I started photographing cities and skylines after moving to Philadelphia in 2013. I kept coming back to blue hour, when there is still a little daylight and the city lights are coming on.
Moving to California brought more landscapes into my work: Yosemite in the snow, mornings in Point Reyes, and fog around the Golden Gate Bridge.
Out with the camera

Some of my favorite photographs come from foggy mornings, changing weather, and staying out a little longer.

The artist
A camera was always nearby.
My grandfather carried a camera everywhere. Photography was part of my life long before it became my work.
My parents gave me my first camera near the end of high school. On a family trip to Miami, I spent the week photographing exotic cars. I kept taking pictures from there.
These days, I bring my photography to art festivals and shows. If you have stopped by my booth, you have seen how the photographs look as metal prints.
Meeting people at shows and seeing which places they connect with is part of what makes this work personal.
